YMCA Skills Training Centre

About Us


The Gambia YMCA Learning and Skills centre was an off short from the British Lottery Fund Project (BLF) that has now developed into a full skills and training centre with a centre head overseeing the operations.


The centre also provided training for disadvantaged youths within the TAkku Liggey Project.


The centre is full recognised and accrediated by the National Training Authority(NTA) www.nta.gm.


It offers the following courses which run for nine months for the academic year.


Courses on Offer Include:-


-> Catering and Hotel Management
-> Hair Dressing and Cosmetology
-> Dressing Making and Design


Entry Requirements:


1. Two Passport Photos
2. Last Grade result from Grade 9
3. Photocopy National Identification Card
4. A Formal Face to Face Interview


Trainees on completion have the opportunity to undergo a three months industrial attachment that the Centre Head organisers through the National Training Authority for Them.
